Conductive hearing loss

Children with hearing loss are best managed by a coordinated team including family physicians, paediatricians, audiologists, otolaryngologists and speech pathologists/educational specialists. Management of hearing loss is dependent on the etiology.

Early intervention strategies may be placed into the following broad categories: audiological, medical/surgical management; educational and (re)habilitation methods; and child and family support.
