Eye (small eye)
Small eye, also called microphthalmia, may concern one or both eyes. A complete absence of the eye is called anophthalmia. A congenital reduction in eye size, with the eyeball measuring 1/2 of the normal volume or less. This is due to abnormal development of the optic vesicle in the optic cup. A small eye may occur in
